A Sense of Place: Contemporary Images of Lincoln Parish attracted 240 entries from all around Lincoln Parish. 55 images were selected by the four jurors to hang in the exhibit at Bank of Ruston for the month of December 2016. All entries are displayed on the senseofplacephoto.com website.

The jurors for the exhibition were Joey Slaughter, artist and Associate Professor of Art at Louisiana Tech; Dr. Lisa Nicoletti, Professor of Art History and Visual Studies at Centenary College, Kevin Kennedy, artist and former art faculty member at Louisiana Tech, and Dr. Sandra Lee, Interim Chair and Associate Professor, Mass Communication, Grambling State University.

The top twelve images were selected by the jurors to receive a purchase prize, and were included in the "Postcards From the Parish" set for sale to benefit NCLAC (North Central Louisiana Arts Council).
